Leon Kauffman Roberts (born January 22 1951 in Vicksburg, Mississippi) is a former Major League outfielder (mostly left and right) who played for the Detroit Tigers (1974-75), Houston Astros (1976-77), Seattle Mariners (1978-80), Texas Rangers (1981-82), Toronto Blue Jays (1982), and the Kansas City Royals (1983-84). He attended the University of Michigan and batted and threw right-handed.

In 1978, playing everyday with Seattle, Roberts led his team with a .301 batting average, good for 6th in the league. That year, his first hit was a grand slam, occuring on April 9, 1978.

Interestingly, on February 5, 1983, he was traded by the Blue Jays to the Royals for a young Cecil Fielder
. Roberts also pitched one inning in 1984 and gave up 3 earned runs. He played his last game on September 30, 1984.

Roberts batted .267 and had 78 home runs and 328 RBI. In 2737 at bats, he had 731 career hits.
