| Joseph Macay McBride (born October 24, 1982 in Augusta, Georgia) is a Major League baseball pitcher for the Atlanta Braves. McBride made his Major League debut on July 22, 2005 and pitched 14 innings for the Braves in 23 games, with a 5.79 earned run average in his rookie campaign. McBride earned the confidence of Braves manager Bobby Cox with his ability to miss bats, striking out 22 hitters in his fourteen innings of work. He is expected to be a key man in the Braves bullpen for many years to come.
