| Arthur Lemarcus Banks III (born November 19 1981 in Las Vegas, Nevada), commonly known as Marcus Banks, is a professional basketball player for the Minnesota Timberwolves of the NBA. Banks is 6'2" (188 cm) tall and 200 lbs (97 kg). He played in college for UNLV, where he was Co-Defensive Player of the Year as a senior. He was selected with the thirteenth pick in the first round of the 2003 NBA Draft by the Memphis Grizzlies, then traded to the Celtics along with Kendrick Perkins. On January 26, 2006, it was announced that Banks, Mark Blount, Ricky Davis, and Justin Reed were traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Wally Szczerbiak, Michael Olowokandi and Dwayne Jones.
