| Marcus Crandell (born June 1, 1974, in Charlotte, North Carolina) is an American gridiron football player currently playing as a quarterback for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Crandell played college football with the East Carolina Pirates, where he established more than 30 passing and offensive records. He was a candidate for the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award in 1996. He led East Carolina to two Bowl appearances, including a 19-13 victory over Stanford in the 1995 Liberty Bowl. His professional career has included CFL stops with Saskatchewan as well as Edmonton and Calgary, a stint in NFL Europe with the Scottish Claymores, and a season with the XFL's Memphis Maniax. The highlight of his career was the 2001 Grey Cup, in which he quarterbacked Calgary to victory, and was named the game's MVP.
