| Mark Edward Pope (born September 11 1972 in Omaha, Nebraska) is a professional basketball player in the NBA. He has played for the Indiana Pacers, the Milwaukee Bucks and the Denver Nuggets and enjoyed his best season in 2000-2001 when he averaged 2.1 points per game for the Bucks. Pope was a second round pick of the Pacers in the 1996 NBA Draft after his college career, first at the University of Washington and then at the University of Kentucky. Pope earned All Pacific-10 freshman honors and was also a member of Kentucky's 1996 NCAA Men's Basketball Champion team. He currently is on the roster of the Denver Nuggets and has signed a non-guaranteed contract. He has been the 12th man for Denver for the past few years.
