Mark Strittmatter was born April 4, 1969 in Huntington, New York. He is a bullpen catcher and coach for the Colorado Rockies.

Playing career

Strittmatter spent most all of his playing career in the Minor Leagues (1992-2000) after being drafted by the Colorado Rockies in June of 1992. His only Major League Baseball playing experience came in September of 1998, appearing in four games. He went hitless in 4 total at bats.

Personal life

Mark and his wife Katie presently reside in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. They have a son, Sean, and a daughter, Emily.
He is an alumni of Virginia Commonwealth University.
