Athletes - Marty Reasoner

Marty Reasoner (b. 26 February, 1977) is a professional centreman in the National Hockey League. He was born in Honeoye Falls, and taken in the first round of the 1996 NHL Entry Draft, 14th overall, by the St. Louis Blues. This followed two years of high school hockey and one year at Boston College, where he was named Rookie of the Year.

Reasoner was traded on July 1, 2001 to the Edmonton Oilers, along with Jochen Hecht and Jan Horacek in exchange for Oilers' captain Doug Weight
. Reasoner, who had until that point failed to secure a regular NHL job, went on to play the next two full seasons for the Oilers, until a severe knee injury and the NHL lockout forced him off the ice. On August 9, 2005, Reasoner resigned with the Oilers. Reasoner was traded from Edmonton to the Boston Bruins on March 9, 2006, along with Yan Stastny
and a second round pick in the 2006 NHL Entry draft in exchange for Sergei Samsonov.
