| Marvin Powell (born August 30, 1955 in Fort Bragg, NC) is a former Offensive Tackle for the New York Jets and Tampa Bay Buccaneers after a collegiate performance at the University of Southern California that got him elected into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1994. As a sophomore in 1974, he helped his team win the national championship. He was all-Pacific 10 conference three years and All-America two years. He was a five time pro bowler between 1973 in 1983. Powell graduated in 1977 with a degree in political science and speech. As a profesional athlete in New York City, he wrote a newspaper column. He was also elected president of the players' union. He worked as an intern at the New York Stock Exchange and spent six off-seasons getting a law degree.
