Matt Birk (born July 23 1976) is a professional American football player (center) for the NFL's Minnesota Vikings franchise since being drafted by them out of Harvard University. Birk is a four time Pro Bowler since replacing Jeff Christy, who left the Vikings in 2000.

High school career

Birk attended Cretin-Derham Hall High School in Saint Paul, Minnesota, where he starred in football, basketball, and track & field. In football, he was an All-St. Paul Conference pick, an Academic All-State selection, and an All-State pick.
