Matt Fuerbringer is a professional beach volleyball player. Fuerbringer was born on January 29 1974.

In 2003, Matt was awarded Rookie of the Year. He has also spent time writing for DIG Magazine about traveling abroad to play beach volleyball.

The 2005 season marks Matt's third year as a professional player and he is looking forward to another promising year on the Tour.

Prior to making the transition to beach, Matt or "Fuerby" enjoyed a successful indoor college career at Stanford University where he graduated with a degree in American Studies. He was named four-time 1st team All-American, Freshman of the Year, Outstanding Senior Athlete and was a member of the 1997 NCAA National Championship team.

Matt spent five years playing professionally in Europe and speaks fluent Spanish.

In the off-season, Matt is the strength and conditioning coach for the Mizuno Long Beach Volleyball Club, which is owned by his wife Joy.

Matt currently resides in Redondo Beach, California with his new wife Joy.
