William McKinley Venable (born June 6 1957 Phoenix, AZ - ) was an outfielder/designated hitter with a 12 year career from 1979-1987,1989-1991. He played for the San Francisco Giants, Montreal Expos and Cincinnati Reds all of the National League and the California Angels of the American League.

Max continues to be remembered by many for his 1987 Topps Baseball trading card; a card in which Max is posed with arms akimbo, standing proudly and stoically in his Cincinatti Reds uniform.
