Myer Prinstein (1878 - March 10, 1925) was an American athlete, and sometime captain of the Syracuse University track team, and ultimately graduated from that school with a law degree. He was born in Poland and his parents migrated to New York city circa 1884 and quickly thereafter moved to Syracuse, New York where Myer was raised, the 3rd of a family of 9 children.

He won the gold medal in the men's triple jump at the 1900 Summer Olympics in Paris, France. In 1900 he also set a World recond of 7,50m in the long jump where he also won the silver medal in Paris, losing to Alvin Kraenzlein after being denied by Syracuse officials to compete in the final because it was contested on a Sunday. In St. Louis 1904 he won both the long jump and the triple jump and was 5th in the 60m dash and over 400m. In Athens 1906 he again won the long jump competition.
