| Michael Anthony Gallego born October 31, 1960 in Whittier, California was a Major League Baseball infielder. Mike's career lasted from 1985 to 1997. Mike played for the Oakland Athletics, New York Yankees, and St. Louis Cardinals. Mike attended the University of California, Los Angeles. Yankees fans remember his time as second baseman and leadoff hitter with the team as some of the darkest days in the storied history of the franchise.
