Jim "Mudcat" Grant (born August 13, 1935 in Lacoochee, Florida) is a former Major League Baseball pitcher who played for the Cleveland Indians, Minnesota Twins, Los Angeles Dodgers, Montreal Expos, St. Louis Cardinals, Oakland Athletics and Pittsburgh Pirates from 1958 to 1971. He won 145 games in his career, losing 119. Grant reached his peak in 1965 with the American League champion Twins, winning 21 games and losing only 7. In the World Series against the Dodgers, Grant started three games and won two of them, hitting a three-run homer in Game 6. After his playing career ended, Grant worked as a broadcaster and executive for the Indians, and later as a broadcaster for the Athletics.

In recent years, Grant has dedicated himself to studying and promoting the history of blacks in baseball. On his , Grant pays tribute to the thirteen black pitchers (including himself) who have won 20 games in a season. The "13 Black Aces" are: Vida Blue, Al Downing, Bob Gibson, Dwight Gooden, Grant, Ferguson Jenkins, Sad Sam Jones, Don Newcombe, Mike Norris, J.R. Richard, Dave Stewart, Dontrelle Willis, and Earl Wilson.
