Naomi Lang (born December 18 1978 in Arcata, California, USA) is an US-American figure skater and ice dancer.

Naomi Lang is the first Native female US-American athlete to participate in the Olympic Winter Games. She is a member of the Karuk tribe by her father’s inheritage. Her mother is Leslie Dixon.

At first Naomi Lang was a ballet dancer in Eureka. She started to dance with the age of 3 and continued with ballet dancing to the age of 15.

Naomi Lang began to skate with the age of 8 inspired by visiting a show of “Ice Capades”. She skates at the club American Academy FC. She first skated together with John Lee. With him she won in 1995 the US novice ice dance title and became silver medallist in the 1996 US junior ice dance championships.

However in 1996 she teamed up with Peter Tchernyshev
. They won twice the four continent championships. They participated at the Olympic Winter Games 2002 in Salt Lake City. Her coach at this time was Alexander Zhulin. After the 2002 figure skating season they changed the coach to Nikolai Morozov.

Naomi Lang finished her amateur figure skating career due to the re-injury of her Achilles tendon.

Naomi Lang lives together with the Ukrainian ice acrobat Vladimir Besedin. The couple has a daughter Lillia Ashlee Besedin, born in 2004.

Since 2005 Naomi Lang and Peter Tchernyshev appear in ice shows again.
