| Nicholas James Bollettieri (b. July 31, 1931 in Pelham, New York) is a tennis coach who credited with developing many world-class champions. Among them are Andre Agassi, Jim Courier, Monica Seles, Anna Kournikova, and, recently, Maria Sharapova and Nicole Vaidišová. He also acted briefly as Boris Becker's coach. After serving with the United States Marine Corps, he turned to teaching tennis in 1956 after dropping out of the University of Miami Law School. The Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy is located on a 190 acre (769,000 m²) campus in Bradenton on the west coast of Florida, about 50 miles south of Tampa. He wrote an autobiography My Aces, My Faults with Dick Schaap, and is instruction editor of Tennis Magazine.
