| Raymond Earl Fosse (born April 4, 1947) is an American former Major League Baseball catcher who played primarily for the Cleveland Indians and Oakland Athletics. Fosse's participation in the 1970 Major League Baseball All-Star Game resulted in a drastic career downturn, when Pete Rose barreled into him at home plate, causing severe injury to his shoulder. Fosse won two Gold Glove Awards during his career. Fosse would continue to catch for successful Oakland Athletics teams from 1973 through 1975. Fosse's final season in Major League Baseball was 1979.
