Richard (Richie) Darnoll Anderson (born September 13, 1971 in Olney, Maryland) is an American football running back who played for the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL. He played most of his career (1994-2002) with the New York Jets and played in the 2001 Pro Bowl.

Anderson was originally drafted in the sixth-round of the 1993 NFL Draft by the New York Jets out of Penn State. While with the Nittany Lions, he had 1,756 rushing yards, 353 receiving yards, and 31 touchdowns. Anderson played high school football at Sherwood High School in Sandy Spring, Maryland.

Due to a herniated disc neck injury, he was released from the Cowboys on April 29, 2005. He officially retired after the 2005 season by signing a one-day contract with the New York Jets, team that drafted him.
