| Richie Petitbon (born April 18, 1938 in New Orleans, Louisiana) is a former American football player and head coach of the Washington Redskins. He played for the Chicago Bears from 1959 to 1968, the Los Angeles Rams in 1969 and 1970, and the Washington Redskins in 1971 and 1972. A successful defensive coordinator under Gibbs, he did not find the same success as a coach. Aging and underachieving, the team finised 4-12 and Petibon was dimissed in favor of Norv Turner.
