Machete born Ricky Vega is an American professional wrestler (not to be confused with fellow wrestler Joey Machete).

Career

Machete was introduced to wrestling trainer Johnny Rodz on July 16, 2001. After training under Rodz, he debuted on the Pennsylvanian independent circuit as "Ricky Vega", working for promotions such as World Xtreme Wrestling and Pro-Pain-Pro-Wrestling.

In February 2006 at TNA Against All Odds 2006, Machete debuted in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, replacing Apolo as a member of the Latin American Exchange (LAX). LAX ended up losing to The James Gang after BG James pinned Machete following a Pump Handle drop.

At TNA Destination X 2006, LAX got another chance at the James Gang but lost again when Kip James pinned Machete following The Missouri Boat Ride.

On the March 18, 2006 edition of TNA Impact he was "accidentily" hit by Konnan with his Slapjack. After he was pinned Konnan and Homicide attacked him and left him in the ring.
