Ricardo Adolfo Jacobo Carty (born September 1 1939 San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic) was a utility player with a 15 year career from 1963-1967, 1969-1970, 1972-1979. He played for the Milwaukee Braves, Atlanta Braves and Chicago Cubs of the National League and the Oakland A's, Cleveland Indians and Toronto Blue Jays of the American League. He played catcher, first base, third base, outfield and designated hitter.

He was elected to the American League All-Star team in 1970.

He won the American League batting title in 1970 hitting .366.
