Robert Gallery (born July 26, 1980 on Masonville, Iowa) is an American Football player who currently plays Offensive Tackle for the Oakland Raiders of the NFL. Gallery was widely considered one of the best offensive tackle prospects in years leading up to the 2004 NFL Draft. Despite numerous rumours of possible trades, the Oakland Raiders selected him with the second overall pick in the draft. He played college football at the University of Iowa. In the 2004 NFL season he started 15 out of 16 games at the right tackle spot for the Raiders.

High school career

Gallery attended East Buchanan High School in Winthrop, Iowa. While there, he starred in football, basketball, and track. In football, he was a Des Moines Register Class 1A All-State first team pick.

College career

At Iowa, Gallery continued his family's traditions as his brother Nick Gallery was an All-Conference punter. His younger brother, John Gallery is currently enrolled as a punter at Iowa. He is also related to High School swimming great Nick McManus. During his college career, Gallery did not allow a quarterback sack. He scored a perfect 9.0 rating.
