Ron Rothstein is a former American professional basketball coach and college basketball palyer, who has led two different NBA teams. He served as the first head coach for the Miami Heat, coaching there for three seasons, and later coached the Detroit Pistons. He has also coached in the WNBA.

In 2003 he was hired by the Indiana Pacers as an assistant coach. Previously he had served as an assistant for the Atlanta Hawks and the Pistons. He was also the head coach and general manager for the WNBA's Miami Sol during the franchise's entire existence (2000-2003).

Prior to his professional career, Rothstein was a coach at Upsala College. He played college ball at the University of Rhode Island.
