| Salome Barojas Romero (born June 16, 1957 in Cordoba, Mexico) was a Major League Baseball pitcher for the Chicago White Sox, Seattle Mariners, and Philadelphia Phillies from 1982 to 1988. Barojas, a relief pitcher, was an integral part of the 1983 White Sox team which won the American League Western Division, the first White Sox team to make it to post season play since 1959. In addition, he was a favorite of New York Yankees public address announcer Bob Sheppard.
