| Sam Hoger, nicknamed the "The Alaskan Assassin," was a semifinalist during the first season of The Ultimate Fighter, a reality television series produced by the Ultimate Fighting Championship. On the night of the finale he won a unanimous decision against Bobby Southworth. In his second UFC match, he faced Stephan Bonnar and lost by unanimous decision. He is currently training with Miletich Martial Arts in Davenport, Iowa.
