| Samuel Ryan Jacobson (born July 22 1975 in Cottage Grove, Minnesota) is a former NBA player for the Los Angeles Lakers, Golden State Warriors, and Minnesota Timberwolves. He attended the University of Minnesota, where he helped lead the Golden Gophers to the 1997 NCAA Final Four. As a high school player at Park High School in Cottage Grove, he became Minnesota's all-time leading scorer, surpassing Kevin McHale. As of March 2006 Sam has retired from basketball and currently resides in Apple Valley, Minnesota and works in home finance. Sam is still married and has three children. In his free time his hobbies include poker, computer gaming, and pick-up basketball games.
