| Scott Schoeneweis (born October 2, 1973) is a Jewish-American pitcher for Major League Baseball's Toronto Blue Jays. He attended Lenape High School in Medford, New Jersey and Duke University, until being drafted by the California Angels in the 1996 MLB Draft. In the 2005 season, he appeared in 80 games, amassing 3 wins and 4 losses with a 3.32 ERA. The lefty was also among the league leaders in holds, with 35. With good control and his ability to strike out left-handed batters, Schoeneweis is viewed as one of the integral components of the Blue Jays bullpen and the team will look for him to continue his successful pitching into the 2006 regular-season campaign.
