Sean Landeta (born January 6, 1962 in Baltimore, Maryland) is a National Football League punter who played the bulk of his career for the New York Giants. Notably, he is one of the last two active NFL players who played in the United States Football League
of the 1980s, the other being Doug Flutie
. Known as one of the greatest punters in NFL history, Landeta has consistently averaged roughly 43 yards per attempt, according to NFL statistics. He signed with the Philadelphia Eagles to play in the 2005 season. He attended Towson University.

High school career

At Loch Raven High School in Towson, Maryland, Landeta was an All-City and All-Metro punter as a senior.
