Stefan Wayne LeFors (born June 7, 1981) in Baton Rouge, Louisiana is an American football quarterback for the Carolina Panthers. Lefors ranks as the 4th all time leading passer at the University of Louisville with 5,853 yards & first in pass completion percentage with 66%. In 2004, he narrowly missed Daunte Culpepper's season efficiency rating, 73.5 to Culpepper's 73.6. He led Louisville that season to an 11-1 season in which they finished 6th in the final AP poll. He was selected 121st overall in the 2005 NFL Draft out of the University of Louisville in a pick obtained from the Seattle Seahawks. He is a CODA, (Child of Deaf Adults), grew up with Deaf family. He has a Deaf brother, Eric LeFors, whom he is very close to. His family has led to his successful in his athletic skills.

College career

Louisville was the only D-1 school to recruit LeFors out of high school as a quarterback. LeFors was redshirted as a freshmen in 2000, he played in five games in 2001 completeing three-of-nine passes. In 2003 he took starting duties from graduating Dave Ragone throwing for 3,145 passing yards and 17 touchdowns. His school records at Louisville are only surpassed by Ragone and Chris Redman. He was also a finalist for the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award as a senior.
