Steve Novak (b. June 13 1984) is a collegiate men's basketball player in the NCAA. He completed his Senior season at Marquette University, where he wore the number 20. Novak's primary position is forward. He is listed as 6-10, 218 lbs.

High school career

Steve attended Brown Deer High School in Brown Deer, Wisconsin.

As a junior, Steve averaged 22.2 points, 12.0 rebounds, and 3.4 blocked shots per game.

During his senior season, Novak averaged 20.6 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game. Throughout his high school basketball career, he earned four letters.

Collegiate career

Novak began his college basketball career in 2002-2003. He saw action in all 33 games and averaged 6.7 points per game. He also shot 50.5 percent from the three-point line.

Steve started 29 of the 31 games in the 2003-2004 season. He averaged 12.5 ppg along with 4.6 rpg. In addition to this, Novak shot 91.2 percent from the free throw line.

During the 2004-2005 season, Novak again started 29 of the 31 games. He improved his average to 13.3 ppg and also was third on the team with 4.1 rpg.

So far during the 2005-2006 season, Steve has shown an improvement in his overall game. He is currently averaging 17.4 ppg, 6 rpg, and 1.2 apg. In addition to this, Novak is shooting 97.3 percent from the free-throw line and 44.6 percent from the three-point line.
