He has previously played for the San Francisco 49ers, Denver Broncos, Buffalo Bills, Chicago Bears, New England Patriots and Oakland Raiders. He is currently with the Cleveland Browns with a 2-year contract estimated at worth of 7 million dollars. On his website he has stated that he wants to play until at least 2009.

High school career

At Tampa Tech High School in Tampa Bay, Florida, Ted Washington was a four-sport standout in football, track, baseball, and wrestling. As a senior, he was the Florida State Wrestling champion in the unlimited weight class.

College career

As a senior at the University of Louisville, Washington had 76 tackles, 7 sacks and 3 blocked field goals, and was an All-South Independent selection.
