|} Timothy James ("Tim") Salmon (born August 24, 1968 in Long Beach, California) is a right fielder/designated hitter in Major League Baseball who has played his entire career with the California Angels/Anaheim Angels/Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim franchise since 1992. He bats and throws right handed.

Since being named the American League's Rookie of the Year in 1993, Salmon has become a favorite of the Angels organization and a household name among the team's fans. An Angel legend, Salmon was a crucial part of the Angels' playoff and World Series run in 2002, hitting a key home run in Game Two of the World Series against the San Francisco Giants.

Salmon, who was sidelined for all of the 2005 season, is recovering from left knee and right rotator cuff surgery. He appeared in 60 games for the Angels in 2004.

On December 2nd, 2005, the Angels announced that they had agreed to terms on a minor league contract with Salmon. His one year deal will earn him $400,000 if he makes the major league roster for the 2006 regular season. As the regular season approaches, Salmon's possible role with the Angels in 2006 remains uncertain. He has hit well enough during spring training to possibly justify a place on the team as a designated hitter. However, the Angels may have other players that they would be better served to place in that role.

Salmon is the Angels' all-time leader in home runs (290), runs scored (956), walks (941) and slugging percentage (.500).
