| Thomas Craig Abernethy (b. May 6, 1954 in South Bend, Indiana) is a former professional basketball player. After starring at Indiana University, the 6'7" Abernethy was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers in the third round of the 1976 NBA Draft. He spent five years in the league as a member of the Lakers and the Golden State Warriors, scoring 1,779 career points.
