Darrell Trent Smith (born on September 15, 1979 in Norman, Oklahoma) is a tight end in the NFL. He went to University of Oklahoma. He currently plays for the San Francisco 49ers. He was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the 7th round (223rd overall) in the 2003 NFL Draft.

Smith has great hands and receiving skills, and has some quickness when he cuts. He shields defenders well and will make receptions in traffic. He is a poor blocker who doesn't get good leverage or position and he hesitates when running routes and doesn't read zones well.
