Trevor Rhodes, better known as Trevor Murdoch, is a professional wrestler performing for World Wrestling Entertainment on the RAW brand.CareerRhodes started his career training in Central States Wrestling Alliace, in the Missouri area, in 1997. Rhodes then moved on to the WLW and Harley Race's Training Camp in 1999, and began his wrestling career in WLW. This is where he claimed the WLW World Championship by defeating Meng on April 11, 2000. He made a name for himself as part of The Dupps, a hillbilly tag team consisting of kayfabe brothers Stan Dupp (Rhodes) and Bo Dupp. As a team, The Dupps wrestled in both Ohio Valley Wrestling and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. He signed WWE development deal in June 2005. While in OVW, Rhodes teamed with Lance Cade under his real name. The team was known as TNT.On August 22, 2005 a promo was shown showcasing Rhodes' debut with the returning Lance Cade. Rhodes was repackaged as Trevor Murdoch (the surname coming from his likeness to wrestling legend Dick Murdoch), and the team was simply known as Cade & Murdoch. From the vignettes shown on WWE RAW, it would seem that Cade is playing a smooth-talking cowboy, while Murdoch is playing an angry Southern trucker. Cade and Murdoch won their debut match on Monday Night RAW on September 5, 2005. They defeated World Tag Team Champions, Hurricane and Rosey in a non-title match earning themself a title match at WWE Unforgiven. During the title match, Murdoch delivered an Elevated DDT on The Hurricane to the outside. The DDT caused Hurricane to suffer a "stinger" (in Kayfabe) and allowed Cade & Murdoch to beat the injured Hurricane later in the match to win the World Tag Team Titles from him, and Rosey. They would eventually lose their titles at Taboo Tuesday to Big Show and Kane. On November 28, 2005 during his match against Shelton Benjamin, play-by-play commentator Joey Styles acknowledged that he and Lance Cade are no longer a tag team. It was revealed on WWE Unlimited, that Trevor Murdoch set his sights on Ric Flair and the WWE Intercontinental Championship. On Unlimited, Murdoch has been reviewing movies currently playing in theaters, such as Brokeback Mountain, King Kong, and Hostel. The first 2 movie reviews diplayed odd sexual habits, while the most recent showed cruelty in his past. All have has an underlying point that he thinks that 'city folk' have quite an easy life, as opposed to his. He qualified for the 2006 Royal Rumble, by defeating Antonio on Heat. Trevor Murdoch is currently in a mini-feud against Goldust on Heat. On the 27 February RAW, Trevor Murdoch lost a Money In The Bank qualifying match to Rob Van Dam. Trivia
