| Victor Amaya (born July 2, 1954 in Denver) is a former American male professional tour tennis player. The left-handed Amaya's career high ranking was World No. 15, which he attained in June, 1980. Amaya nearly beat tennis legend Bjorn Borg in the first round of the 1978 Wimbledon Championships. With his 135 mph lefty serve he had Borg down 2 sets to 1 before losing 9-8, 1-6, 6-1, 3-6, 3-6.
