Wallace Spearmon (born December 24, 1984) in Chicago, Illinois, USA is a sprint athlete. In August 2005 he won the silver medal in the 200m at the 2005 World Championships in Athletics. His personal best on 200m is 19.89 seconds. He broke the old 300 meter world record, which had stood for 17 years, in his first attempt in February 2006 with a time of 31.88 seconds. The current world record holder for the 300 is Michael Johnson
