Wentzle Ruml IV was a member of the legendary Zephyr skateboard team.Early lifeHe grew up in Venice, California, and began skateboarding with good friend Bob Biniak, also of Z-Boys fame. He attended Santa Monica High School and later Olympic High School.Z-Boy CareerWentzle was never the most prominent member of the Z-Boys team, but is credited with being one of the pioneers of pool skateboarding.Stacy Peralta credits him with pioneering the 360 slide and Tony Alva says he was the first to pull of a 180 lip slide into a 360 roundhouse back into a 180. As the Z-Boys team began to dissipate he moved to Hawaii to skate and surf with Jay Adams. Through a family intervention around 1980 Ruml moved to the Cape.Later lifeHe now resides in Cape Cod, Massachusetts and works as an aquaculture farmer.Sources
