| Willy T. Ribbs (born January 3, 1955 in San Jose, California) is one of the most successful African American race car drivers. He made 3 Winston Cup starts in 1986 with a best finish of 22nd and 46 starts in CART from 1990 to 1994 with a best finish of 6th. He was the first black man to drive in the Indianapolis 500 and has a best finish of 21st in 1993 in his two starts. He also made 1 start in the Indy Racing League in 1999 and ran the full season in the Craftsman Truck Series in 2001 and placed 16th in series points.
