| Flanimals is a book written by British comedian Ricky Gervais. The book, illustrated by Rob Steen, features 35 different characters (described as species of animal) which form an imaginary ecosystem. Some of the most famous flanimals are the Honk, the Grundit, the Puddloflaj and the Mernimbler (both adult and child versions). Comedian Gervais, well known for his hit TV series The Office originally went to University to study biology, but changed to philosophy. The book is published by Faber and Faber.
