Cars - Matra Murena

The Matra Murena was a 3-seat sports car produced from 1979 through 1983. It replaced the Bagheera. All three seats were placed in the front row, with the middle seat folding down to become an armrest. It was a mid-engine hatchback car and used either the 1.6 L Simca Type 315 or a 2.2 L straight-4 engine.

The Murena was the first production car to use galvanized steel for all chassis parts. The body panels were made from fibreglass/polyester. These two aspects mean that the Murena is essentially immune to rust, except for the rear trailing arms of the suspension.
