The Saab Sonett IV is rumoured to be a Delta-based two-seater roadster, which contains the genes of the first Saab Sonett, and numbers two and three. The fourth Sonett will be at the Geneva Motor Show, in March 2006. The engine will be a 2.8 V6 turbo engine, with 250 bhp, out of the Saab 9-3 Aero. The decision as to whether or not the Sonett IV will enter mass-production will most likely be based on consumer reactions. The new Sonett could be build together with the successor of the Vuaxhall/Opel Speedster It isn't known yet if the Sonett IV will carry the name Sonett.
The upcoming prototype should not be confused with the conceptual Sonett IV created during the production of the Sonett III.
