Sil-Truck is a Nissan Silvia a/or SX series sport compact car that has the back area (on the SX series, it's the hatchback area, on Silvias, the coupe area) removed and gutted to resemble the back of a pickup truck. The idea is that by removing the excess weight from the rear wheels, the car can be induced to Drift.
In the Drifting arena, a Sil-Truck is one of the cars used in Team Xtreme (aka Team Orange). They refer to their chop-mod as a Silvia K-Truck. The Tuning shop K-Style also did a Supra MkIII. Other cars have also been converted to look like pickups as well.
Comparisons can be made to the Australian Ute, however the Ute is based on a truck frame rather than a car frame. Comparisons also can be made to such American cars like the Chevrolet El Camino and the Ford Ranchero.
