The Toyota Estima is a minivan made by Toyota and sold only in Japan.

There are three main versions the Estima made between about 1990 and 2000, including the Estima, Estima Lucida and the Estima Emina. The Lucida and Emina models were approximately 110 mm narrower and 70 mm shorter than the standard Estima. The standard Estima was closest to the model exported to the other markets as the Toyota Previa
. One unusual feature is that there were only four doors; two conventional front doors, a large sliding door on the left hand side, and a rear door hinged at the top.

The seven and eight seat variants differ only in the middle row, in which the seven seat version has two "captain's chairs", whereas the eight seater has a bench seat which splits into a double seat and a single seat, both of which can be rotated to face backwards.

Many used Estimas have been imported from Japan to Ireland, due to the relatively low value of used cars in Japan and the fact that both countries drive on the left-hand side of the road. The Estima comes in a wide variety of specifications, with wither a 2.4 L gasoline I4 or a 2.2 L turbodiesel I4 engine. There are both rear wheel drive and four wheel drive variants, and both manual and automatic transmissions.

The reason for the difference between the smaller Emina and Lucida models and the larger Estima is the vehicle tax system in Japan, which is based on the product of length and width of the car. The smaller variants fall in to a lower tax band.

In 2000, Toyota introduced a redesigned Estima with sliding doors on both sides. A hybrid version was also introduced in Japan.

A third generation Estima was introduced in January 2006. Features include an available second-generation hybrid drivetrain, automatic parallel and back-in parking, track-mounted second row reclining seats with footrests, and power-folding split third row seats.
