In computing, aMule is a peer-to-peer file sharing application that works with the eDonkey2000 network and the Kad Network, but offers more features than the standard eDonkey client, including support for Kademlia. It is a fork of the xMule source code, which itself is a fork of the lMule project, which was the first attempt to bring the eMule client to Linux. It is now the Linux client on the eMule links section on their webpage. Like eMule, aMule is free software released under the GNU General Public License.

The stated goal of aMule is to be the "all-platform emule", with current support for Linux, Mac OS X, FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD, Windows and Solaris.

Since the start of the project as a non-friendly fork of the xMule project, there has been continued animosity between the developers and supporters of both projects.
