alt.tv.game-shows was a Usenet newsgroup dedicated to the discussion of game shows.

From 1993 until 2002, ATGS was a hot spot for discussing everything related to game shows, ranging from the black and white classic shows to the modern shows like Who Wants to Be a Millionaire and Greed
.

Game show personalities such as Geoff Edwards and Randy West frequented and posted to the group. Game show contestants who participated on various shows also took part in the discussions on ATGS.

However, in 2001, trolling began to overtake the group, and within a year and a half new moderated message boards on EZBoard, then later Invision Power Board, were created. (The Invision board is run by Matt Ottinger, who hosts QuizBusters
.) ATGS still exists to this day, however, there is hardly any traffic on the group now.
