| In the fictional Star Fleet Universe, the Andromedan invasion of the Milky Way galaxy was launched in Y188, having built up their logistical network and carried out several raids up to this point. The Andromedans had technology unlike that in the Milky Way, and quickly overpowered the Interstellar Concordium fleets 'pacifying' the other races in the Alpha Octant (They were unable to conquer the ISC itself, though they made considerable inroads into Concordium territory). The other races in the Alpha octant were able to hold out, to a greater or lesser extent - except for the Lyran Democratic Republic - against the invaders, as well as gradually destroy the Andromedan infrastructure in the octant. (The Omega octant races were facing oblivion, while the fate of presumed Andromedan attacks on other regions of the galaxy, not least against the formidable Xorkaelian Empire, remains as yet unknown). In Operation Unity of Y203, an assault on the Andromedan base in the Lesser Magellanic cluster led to the end of the invasion.
