Oilrig is sometimes criticized as being unbalanced in the Terrorists' favor. There is only one escape point for the VIP, and it is very easy to defend. The Terrorists can quickly get to a few points and cut the Counter-Terrorists off right from the start.Uniqueness

It can also be a very complex map for new players to learn, as there are many different routes to take to some places. There is a ledge where a player can jump onto a very thin plate and onto a roof.
