| Battlesystem is a tabletop miniature wargame designed as a suplement to and for use with the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game. It was first published in 1985 and was for use with both Advanced Dungeons & Dragons and the Basic/Expert Dungeons & Dragons (see editions of Dungeons & Dragons). The game was promoted as a sucessor to Chainmail and a such a return to the roots of Dungeons & Dragons. In a Battlesystem game each miniature represents 10 troops or one commander or hero. There are no statistics in the game for any troops or characters, instead all are derived from the relevant Dungeons & Dragons publications. Second EditionThe second edition of Battlesystem, for use with 2nd Edition Advanced Dungeons & Dragons, was available in the form of two books Battlesystem (1989) and Battlesystem Skirmishes (1991)[ Visit the complete Wikipedia entry for Battlesystem ] | Searches on eBay |
