Belegarth Medieval Combat Society (or Belegarth for short) is a live-action battlegame organization devoted to simulating Dark Age and Medieval combat. Belegarth is a foam-fighting, or boffing, combat group and so uses padded weapons called boffers. Weapons include swords, spears, bows and arrows, flails, axes, and weapons found in medieval times. Various types of shields are also used, along with armor ranging from leather to plate. Participants follow a rule set known as the that dictates how "injuries" are to be portrayed.
